Bruch
Bruch is the long-standing solo project of musician and painter Philipp Hanich, moving between destructive Rock’n’roll and world-embracing Pop. His fifth album The Harbour of The Broken Hearted was released in June, and as described in his press release – TBOTH might not be a safe space, but it accepts us as we are, with our doubts, our own frailties and our shortcoming. No need for shame and fear in expression … to shy away from creating something beautiful. It is the courage to embrace our fragility and anger, and his vision of love that make us stomp to Bruch’s heavy beats.
The vinyl 7” Kohlhaas b/w I Surrender was released in 2020 w/ Fettkakao. Bruch also contributed to the 45 vinyl compilation Fettkakao 50!

Iv/An
A dystopian soul and a synth-punk crooner of sorts, Iv/An will join in for Fettkakao’s 20th anniversary on September 12, sharing the stage with Bruch, Paloma 004, DJs zb_dio & Rita Rumble, performing his selection of songs, some of which were kindly supported and released by the label.
An established performer on the Viennese underground music scene for more than a decade, Iv/An also collaborated with fellow Viennese labels Transformer, Totally Wired Records, and Vinylograph, respectively, leaving additional music traces behind. His set of four 7” singles released on Fettkakao, each accompanied by Franz Falckenhaus’s amazing collage art.

Dubais
Dubais is the perpetually changing trans media post genre project from artist, musician, cultural theorist, and international art punk chameleon Dr. Nadia Buyse!
Although Dubais operates like a band, it’s a vehicle for conceptual work and cultural activism in which Nadia uses the tropes of pop music, experimentation and absurdism to examine diasporic migration, neo-liberal dystopias, emotional incapacitations, consumer technologies, hybrid identities, intersectional feminism, and transnational communities. No two shows are a like, and the only expectation is a good time.
Dubais released Bad Person in 2015, and Blowhard Dummy (cut and duplicated with Vinylograph 2018) w/ Fettkakao. Also: Nadia Buyse is guest starring on the Lime Crush LP Sub Divide!

Pletyka
The Pletyka band confronts the challenge of everyday life: a constant rush and humiliation to wage labor and the tyranny of time when to rise and rest. The Budapest based trio, describes themselves as writing depressed songs about the reality of being young adult woman in Eastern Europe and who play their sounds with bass heavy and synth-drenched melodies. Pletyka radiates much more than that: it is a friendship of three women who channel their thoughts and creativity that brings excitement into their lives and ours.
We can hardly wait for the end of summer, so we can finally experience the Pletyka show!

Infinite Palace
Infinite Palace first emerged with a remix contribution on the 2014 Fettkakao sampler. Appearances at Electric Spring Festival, Popfest Wien and EuroPride followed – as well as a break from performing live. The Vienna-based musician carries forward the DIY-pop sensibilities of their previous moniker, Crazy Bitch in a Cave: in a delicate tension between intimacy and grandeur, androgynous falsetto threads itself through atmospheric loops, skewed reverb, piano and fractured electronic beats: an invitation to inhabit emotional in-between worlds.

Goldkante
Mops and Rainer have been making music together since 1985, with breaks and temporary reappearances. The stations: Feuerlöscher, Target Of Demand, Grant and Grant Royal. In 2021 Goldkante released a 2-song 7inch on Fettkakao, recorded with Martin Wimmer (Kurort) and Pezzy Bonecrusher.
Four years later Goldkante played their live debut with Andi Dvořák on bass and Frueden on drums, and they hope to find more interesting gigs.
The music? Heartcore, what else? And yet different and new in detail. Who else quotes Franz Innerhofer in their musically pointed songs, bows to Veza Canetti (the husband: Elias), demands the due “Herzkostenzuschuss” (heart-cost subsidity) or complains about “Idiotenideen” (idiotideas)? Exactly!

Brooke’s Bedroom
Brooke’s Bedroom is the music project of Martin Pieper. His pop songs revolve around trembling, hesitation, and doubt – the quiet drama of wanting more and not always being able to achieve it. His debut EP The Last Days of Happiness and the single Albino Rabbits, both released on Fettkakao, sketch out an idealized discotheque of possibilities. Rooted in electronic music, emotionally steeped in melancholic euphoria. Live appearances by Brooke’s Bedroom are rare and resemble intimate DIY micro-raves — fragile, tender and quietly danceable.

Film!
Sanjalice – The Dreamers
Vladimir Petrović | RS 2025 | 69 min | OmeU | Poolinale Nights | 20:30

In Belgrade in the 1960s, in the heart of communist Yugoslavia under Tito, four teenage girls—Doda, two Ljiljas, and Nena – formed one of the world’s first female rock bands: Sanjalice (“The Dreamers”). In the midst of a conservative environment and under the watchful eye of “guardians of public morality” who accused them of spreading a rebellious spirit, they held their own on stage, on an equal footing with male bands. They took the Yugoslav music scene by storm, became celebrated stars, and yet surprisingly decided to break up the band.
This film tells their story from their own perspective.

Pat Blashill
Pat Blashill is an American photographer, author, and former music critic known for his raw, intimate documentation of the Texas punk scene in the 1980s. A native of Austin, Texas, Blashill began photographing bands like the Butthole Surfers and Scratch Acid during his youth, capturing the gritty, emotional intensity of the underground music world. After earning a degree in journalism from the University of Texas, he moved to New York in 1987, where he wrote for Spin, Rolling Stone, and The Village Voice. In 2005, Blashill relocated to Vienna, Austria, where he continues to write, take pictures, and teach in a public high school. His published works include Noise from the Underground (1996), Texas Is the Reason (2020), and Someday All the Adults Will Die! (2025).
In the exhibition Endless, Nameless! at Plateau, we are pleased to present a selected overview of Pat Blashill’s photography, from his Texas years in the 1980s and his New York period in the 1990s to his most recent documentation of the Viennese scene from 2000 onward. The exhibition is curated by Veronika Eberhart.

Irma Anna Prenn
Irma Anna Prenn was born in 1964 in Feldkirch, Vorarlberg, and studied fashion design at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna with Vivienne Westwood, Helmut Lang, and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. After initially working in children’s fashion, she increasingly turned her attention to handcrafted textile design, a field she has been exploring with quiet precision ever since. She works with linen, velvet, wool, and silk, creating unique pieces such as quilts, cushions, and curtains.
Her designs are characterized by a fine sense for color and composition, where clear geometry meets subtle textures. Sewing, layering, and appliqué form her expressive vocabulary. She creates one-of-a-kind textiles for interiors, working with a selected clientele.
